Hey! I heard you are contemplating about your college choice! It is a huge step into your future and it may be confusing. I am going to share with you 5 reasons why SUNY Oswego is the place to go.
- The community is very inclusive and the environment is welcoming. If you are looking for more of a medium-sized school, Oswego is the place to go!
- Have many opportunities to study abroad. Many students have traveled to various place around the globe and there are scholarships that are offered from the school.
- If you are unsure about your major or career path, there are resources that can aid you (The Compass, GST, etc).
- THE LAKE! Lake Ontario is one of our biggest asset in SUNY Oswego and you can view the beautiful sunsets/sunrises.
- SPORTS! If you enjoy sports, there are many sports SUNY Oswego offer such as: Hockey, Basketball, Rugby, Softball, Track, IceSkating, and so much more!

Hi Grandma and Grandpa!
How have you been? I would like to once again say thank you for your contribution in my financial needs. I am really appreciative that you guys are helping me further my education and helping me mature into an adult. My experience so far in SUNY Oswego has been going well and I have been improving my skills and improving myself as a person. The 5 reasons why SUNY Oswego is a great college for me are because one: the professors are really nice and they are always make sure you are doing well. My professors so far are great and they do care about your academic and personal wellness. It makes me feel better and I can go to them for any help. For the second reason, I was able to declare my major and minor within my second semester here at SUNY Oswego. Previously, I was undeclared and I didn’t know what to do with my life. I went to some resources here on campus and they helped me figured what I would like to see myself in the future regarding my profession. I am now a Broadcasting and Mass Communication and Theatre minor! The third reason why SUNY Oswego is great because I was able to find friends and gain close connections. Since Oswego is a medium-sized school, I was able to connect with people more and find my true friends. They make me feel better everyday and they always support me! For the fourth reason, they provide credited internships. In the career services, they can help me look for internships and jobs related to my major and I find this really beneficial. The experiences can help boost my knowledge and help me get into a job in my field in the future. Lastly, the reason why Oswego is great is because they offer study abroad programs. I have encountered many people who had the experience of going away and I find it very interesting and beneficial as this can broaden my experience. Oswego offer many scholarships for these type of programs and I may embark on this journey soon. These are the five reasons why I enjoy Oswego.
